Once again, I must announce that the Executive Board and I have had the extremely hard task in view of the continuing Covid pandemic to postpone our Fall Council Meeting and State Day planned for October 23, 2020 at the Field Club of Omaha. We are again taking this step to protect the health and safety of our members. This decision came about after Covid cases in Omaha have risen and warnings of continued risks of large crowd gatherings. Lee Harlan, Forget-Me-Nots #620, Chairman of the 2020 State Day, and the Chapter is in agreement with the decision. The Victorian Tea planned for the evening of October 22 was cancelled also due to the owners concerns that social distancing with the numbers we had registered could not take place. This has been a decision that causes sadness but it is necessary. We all miss the camaraderie and benefits we experience from being together at a State Day celebration. Laurel Zielinski, State President
